8-Month Investigation Into Onondaga County Fentanyl Sales Leads to Arrest

An eight-month investigation into the distribution of fentanyl and cocaine throughout Onondaga County has resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old North Syracuse resident.

Following the execution of search warrants, Cedric Judge Jr. was taken into custody and found to have substantial quantities of narcotics and weapons. The items seized during the search included:

  • 29.2 grams of cocaine
  • 1,854 bags of fentanyl
  • Narcotic pills
  • One loaded Sig Sauer 9mm handgun with a large capacity magazine
  • One high-capacity Glock handgun magazine
  • Scales, cutting agents, and drug packaging materials used in the distribution of narcotics
Judge Jr. was arrested and is currently being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center, awaiting arraignment on the following charges:
  • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd (C felony)
  • Four counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Firearm (E felony)
  • Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (A misdemeanor)
  • Three counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd (A misdemeanor)
  • Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd (A misdemeanor)
  • Reckless Driving (Unclassified misdemeanor)

The investigation and subsequent arrest reflect the ongoing commitment of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office to combat drug distribution and ensure the safety of our community. Law enforcement continues to work diligently to dismantle criminal networks involved in the trafficking of dangerous substances.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
