Syracuse, N.Y. (March 29, 2024) — Last weekend’s poor weather forced the cancellation of many cookie booths across the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Council footprint. To help local Girl Scouts and troops have success reaching their program goals, GSNYPENN has extended its cookie season through Sunday, April 21. (The season was slated to end this Sunday.)
The public now has 21 additional days to stock up on Thin Mints®, Samoas®, Tagalongs®, Do-si-dos®, Lemon-Ups®, Toffee-tastic®, Trefoils®, Girl Scout S’mores® and Adventurefuls®. Or grab extras to pop in the freezer until January 2025! At just $6 per package, cookie purchases support local Girl Scouts while customers walk away with a sweet treat as a “thank you!”
In addition, some high-profile locations are popping up in April to help members achieve program goals. Be sure to stop by these locations on the following dates to purchase Girl Scout Cookies from local troops or use the Cookie Finder on buygirlscoutcookiesnow.com to search for more booths in your area:
- March 30, April 6-7, April 13: Rosamond Gifford Zoo, 1 Conservation Pl., Syracuse, NY
- April 5-7: 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship International Ice Hockey Tournament, Adirondack Bank Center at Utica Memorial Auditorium, 400 Oriskany St. W, Utica, NY (cookie booth located by the Ferris Wheel)

Can’t eat them? Treat them! Customers can also donate cookie purchases to assist community partners through GSNYPENN’s Sweet Support Gift of Caring annual council service project; 2024 recipients are the Food Bank of Central New York and Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Simply purchase a box (or more) to be gifted at the end of cookie season.
Cookie proceeds stay local to power life-changing experiences for Girl Scouts year-round including camp, travel, community service, higher awards and more. As the community opens their favorite box of Girl Scout Cookies, they simultaneously open new doors for Girl Scouts to explore their leadership potential, build lifelong friendships and make the world a better place.
