This morning at 10 a.m., the process to recycle the Butter Sculpture begins in the Dairy Products Building. Nearly 800 pounds of butter were used to craft the 56th annual Butter Sculpture’s theme, “Dairy: Good for you. Good for the planet.” Now, the sculpture will be deconstructed and the materials will be used to help power Noblehurst Farms in Linwood in Livingston County. The American Dairy Association North East is leading the effort to give the butter new life through a partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and Noblehurst Farms.
The 2025 Great New York State Fair will officially get underway on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
