Some new information has been released by the Penn Yan Police Department regarding a stabbing that occurred in the village last Friday night.
An investigation found Tiffany Jensen, of Dresden, was allegedly involved in an argument with her ex-boyfriend at a residence on Keuka Street when she pulled a pocket knife and stabbed him in the lower left side, puncturing his lung. The victim also suffered a cut on his left forearm that appeared to be a defensive wound.
The 33-year-old Jensen initially told police the stabbing was accidental and it was the result of her tripping while holding the knife.
Police recovered the knife and charged Jensen with felony assault.
The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Penn Yan Ambulance. There has been no update on his condition.
