One woman is facing charges after a man had to be taken to the hospital following a domestic incident in Cayuga County last week.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and state police responded to a home on West Genesee Street Road in Aurelius on the morning of December 28th. Upon arrival, they found the male victim with a head laceration who had to be taken to Auburn Community Hospital for treatment.
An investigation determined the injury happened during a domestic incident involving Samantha Atwater. She was charged with a felony count of Assault and a misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Atwater was then taken to jail for arraignment and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Aurelius Town Court.
