Woman Accused of Stealing Crab Legs Faces Felony Charge in Auburn

SHARE NOW

A local woman is facing felony charges after she allegedly stole crab legs and other seafood from the Tops store in Auburn.

Police responded to the Genesee Street Tops on the 4th of July and reportedly found Rebecca Gould with the stolen merchandise on her. Gould was previously trespassed from Tops due to a separate incident. As a result, she was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor petit larceny.

Following arraignment, Gould was sent to Cayuga County Jail in lieu of bail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
