Woman Accused of Shoplifting in Victor, Charged with Child Endangerment

SHARE NOW

A Rochester woman is facing charges after allegedly shoplifting from a Victor department store earlier this week.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Felicia Chatham-Johnson was taken into custody on Tuesday following a theft complaint at Von Maur in Eastview Mall. Investigators say Chatham-Johnson exited the store with more than $350 worth of unpaid merchandise.

Deputies also say the alleged shoplifting occurred in the presence of two juveniles, leading to an additional charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Chatham-Johnson is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
