The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Wolcott man following a larceny investigation at a local Dollar General.
Deputies say 36-year-old Cory Chase of Wolcott was taken into custody for petit larceny. The charges stem from a larceny in progress at the store, where Chase allegedly stole a 25-ounce Natty Daddy and a pack of lighters.
Chase was processed and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
