An investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into a vehicle off the roadway resulted in the arrest of a Williamsom woman.
The charges against Carol Makley stem from an investigation into a 911 call stating that a car was off the road and into a snow embankment along Ridge Road in the town of Otnario. Makley was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where a breath sample was secured showing her blood alcohol content to be .13 of 1 percent.
Makley was charged with driving while intoxicated, operation of a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or 1%, failure to maintain lane and moving from lane unsafely.
Following her arraignment, Makley was released to appear in Ontario Town Court at a later date
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
