The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Williamson woman following an investigation into a shoplifting incident at the Dollar General in Marion.
Deputies say 33-year-old Lauren Hadley was charged with Petit Larceny after allegedly taking a container of Afrin nasal spray without paying. The item is valued at approximately $10.25.
Hadley turned herself in and was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. She was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
