A Wayne County woman has been arrested following a domestic dispute.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Stacy Sawyer allegedly struck her victim in the face and caused damage to a vehicle by breaking its center console screen and bending the key to make it unusable.
The 46-year-old Williamson woman was charged with one count of Harassment, two counts of Criminal Mischief, and one count of Criminal Contempt for violating an order of protection between Sawyer and the victim.
Sawyer was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
