The investigation into an in-progress larceny from the Dollar General store in Marion by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a Williamson woman.
Deputies arrested Juana Forshee after the a Dollar General store associate was alerted by an audible alarm from an anti-theft monitor. Associates observed Forshee hurrying to her car and attempting to leave before she could be caught. Store employees were able to relay a good description of Forshee and her car to 911 dispatchers who relayed the information to responding deputies. Forshee was spotted a short time later driving north on Route 21 in Williamson and a traffic stop was initiated. The 44-year-old was questioned and later admitted to the theft of Corona beer, two BIC lighters and Beggin Strips Dog Treats.
Forshee was charged with petit larceny and was released on an appearance ticket for Marion Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
