A complaint received by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office of a car off of the road on South Geneva Road in Sodus resulted in the arrest of a Williamson man.
Deputies located 20-year-old Kendrea Wigent and detected the odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were administered and Wigent later submitted to a chemical breath test finding his BAC to be .21%. Wigent was charged with DWI Common Law, aggravated DWI, speeding, failure to keep right and driving an uninspected motor vehicle.
Wigent was released on tickets to appear in Sodus Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
