A property damage accident in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a Williamson man.
38-year-old Joseph Burkhart was driving on Jersey Road in Williamson when he allegedly lost control of his car, which went off the road and struck a utility pole. After submitting to a standardized field sobriety test, Burkhart failed and was arrested. He was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a chemical test yielding a .19% Blood Alcohol Content.
Burkhart was charged with DWI Common Law and Aggravated DWI .18% BAC or greater, speeding and moving from lane unsafely, and will appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date.
