A joint investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office and Public Assistance Fraud Unit has resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old Bath woman on welfare fraud charges.
Rene Burse is accused of providing false information to the Yates County Department of Social Services. In addition to welfare fraud, Burse was charged with offering a false instrument and petit larceny.
Burse was released on an appearance ticket for Milo Town Court.
