A Weedsport man is facing charges after a domestic incident in the Town of Brutus.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, during the November 7 dispute at a Jericho Rd home, Michael Delpha Jr placed his hands around the victim’s neck making it difficult for her to breathe. The victim was able to flee with her children.
When deputies went to the home, they found the 37-year-old had also damaged the victim’s property.
Delpha was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Criminal Mischief He was then taken to the Public Safety Building for processing.
While in the processing area of the Public Safety Building, Delpha is alleged to have intentionally urinated on himself before rolling around in the urine to soak it in his clothing. He was then additionally charged with Criminal Tampering.
Delpha was arrainged the next day and is currently being held at the jail on $5,000 cash bail or a $10,000 secured bond.
