The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Clyde woman for Driving While Intoxicated Saturday morning.
Deputies arrested 29-year-old Samantha Jones following the investigation of a car off the roadway. It is alleged that Jones was operating a motor vehicle while in a state of intoxication and went off the roadway on Maple Street Road in Sodus at around 4:30 a.m.
Jones was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where she voluntarily submitted to a breath test which showed her to have a BAC of 0.10.
Jones was released on appearance tickets for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated Having a BAC of .08 or greater and failing to maintain lane.
Jones is scheduled to appear at the Sodus Town Court next month.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
