One of the drivers involved in a two-car accident back in September in Wayne County has been arrested on multiple charges.
On September 26th, 24-year-old Carissa Bellinger, of Williamson, is accused of rear-ending another car at the intersection of State Routes 14 and 31 in Lyons. Police say as Bellinger fled the scene, she struck a sign at the corner of Jackson and Phelps Streets. When deputies arrived, they determined Bellinger was driving in an intoxicated state.
A blood draw was conducted and came back positive for Fentanyl and marijuana.
Bellinger was located on Friday in Sodus Point and was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Bellinger was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and was released on appearance tickets for Lyons Town Court.
