A Wayne County man was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into a family trouble complaint in Walworth.
The charges against James Cannon stemmed from an investigation where the 34-year-old was stopped for a loud exhaust while leaving the scene. A number of people contacted the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office after Cannon left. A traffic stop was initiated after Cannon’s car was found. Police say Cannon had a strong odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage coming from his breath.
After Cannon refused to submit to a breath test at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the Williamson resident was taken to the Wayne County jail to await arraignment on charges of driving while intoxicated and inadequate exhaust.
