A suspicious person incident on Park Drive in the village of Palmyra resulted in the arrest of a Palmyra man.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, James Dejohn was arrested by deputies following a suspicious person incident Saturday morning where he was observed to be with someone who had a stay-away order of protection against him. Deputies were able to place Dejohn in custody without incident.
Dejohn was charged with criminal contempt and was sent to Wayne County Jail for CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
