A Wayne County man was charged with assault and criminal contempt following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Burke’s arrest stems from an investigation into an argument that turned physical between him and another family member. It is alleged that Burke struck the victim multiple times and also bit the victim, resulting in injuries. During the investigation, it was also discovered that Burke was allegedly in violation of an Order of Protection by being at the residence in Savannah.
Following his arraignment, Burke was sent to Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
