A Savannah man has been arrested in connection with a drug investigation that began during a traffic stop earlier this year.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies say 45-year-old Shawn Davis was pulled over on Route 104 in the Town of Sodus. During that stop, deputies suspected Davis was in possession of a narcotic. The substance was collected and later confirmed by lab results to be Fentanyl.
Following the test results, Davis was located and arrested this week. He’s now facing a felony charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
Davis was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where he awaited arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
