A Wayne County man was arrested Wednesday on two counts of illegal possession of a Vehicle Identification Number.
It is alleged that 22-year-old Samuel Miller, of Rose, removed a VIN plate from one car and affixed it to another motor vehicle. Miller then registered teh car with the fraudulent VIN plate. Members of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and Field Investigations with the Department of Motor Vehicles reporedly located both cars at Miller’s Brick Schoolhouse Road home.
Miller was released following his arraignment in Wayne County CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
