An inmate in the Wayne County Jail has been arrested following a special investigation, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
46-year-old Brian Lazzar of Lyons was charged with one count of Promoting Prison Contraband after it was discovered he possessed contraband while incarcerated.
Lazzar was issued an appearance ticket while incarcerated and is scheduled to face this charge at Lyons Town Court on Dec. 1.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
