A property damage accident in Schuyler County resulted in the arrest of a Watkins Glen man.
According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office, the one-car accident happened on Cross Road in the town of Dix. The driver, Michael Schlereth, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC above .08, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Schlereth was arraigned in Schuyler County CAP Court and released to appear in Dix Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
