On Tuesday, Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported the arrest of a Waterloo woman following a traffic stop on State Route 5 and 20.
At approximately 11:33 p.m. on March 10, deputies arrested 32-year-old Cassidy O’Malley in the Town of Waterloo. The arrest followed a traffic stop where O’Malley was allegedly observed swerving on the highway. Following a roadside investigation, she was taken into custody.
O’Malley was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and Failure to Keep Right, a traffic violation. She was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing by the Corrections Division.
O’Malley was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charges in court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
