The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Waterloo man following the investigation into a domestic incident.
It is alleged that John Meyer, after having been served a stay away order of protection, contacted his ex-girlfriend by email, in violation of that order.
The 39-year-old Meyer was charged with criminal contempt and brought to the Wayne County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
