Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reports that deputies arrested a Waterloo man early Saturday morning after a traffic stop in the Town of Fayette led to the discovery of suspected narcotics.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested Seth Conner, of Waterloo, at approximately 3 a.m. Conner was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor.
Deputies say Conner was stopped for operating a vehicle with an expired New York State inspection. During the stop, deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. An interior search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered suspected cocaine packaged in individual bags. Deputies also report locating an additional bag of suspected cocaine in Conner’s sock during a search of his person.
Conner was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center for processing and was later released with an appearance ticket and a uniform traffic ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Fayette Court to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
