The investigation into a domestic violence incident that happened in Seneca Falls early Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of a Waterloo man.
Police were called to a Seneca Falls apartment complex for the report of a man who broke a window and was banging on a door. When officers arrived, they located 30-year-old Joshua Jones near the scene and he was subsequently detained. Police say after he was detained, Jones refused to provide his identification. He was later identified and the window was determined to belong to his domestic partner.
Jones was subsequently arrested under the New York State Domestic Violence Laws and was charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor obstruction of governmental administration. He was also charged with three counts of harassment for his direct verbal threats of physical harm to police while in custody.
Jones was brought to the Seneca County Jail for arraignment.
An Order of Protection was requested on behalf of the domestic victim.
