An alleged larceny from the Seneca Falls Walmart Sunday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a Waterloo man.
John Smith was observed taking merchandise from the store and allegedly passing all points of sale while making no attempt to render payment. The 44-year-old is also accused of taking items out of the packaging and damaging the property.
Smith was charged with criminal mischief and petit larceny.
Following his arraignment, Smith was turned over to the Rochester Police Department for an outstanding warrant.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
