A Waterloo man was taken to Geneva General Hospital after being involved in a two-car accident on County Road 6 in Phelps on Wednesday.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, William Korbel was driving north when he failed to stop and rear-ended a tractor trailer. Korbel complained of chest and back pain and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
Korbel was ticketed for following too closely.
Oaks Corner Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control for the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
