The investigation into a suspicious condition Tuesday night in Wayne County resulted in the arrest of a Walworth man.
Police responded to Walworth Marion Road for the report of a car parked in the oncoming lane of traffic on the downward crest of a hill. An investigation determined Malcolm Vanalstyne was driving his car under the influence of alcohol. Vanalstyne was arrested following his failure of standardized field sobriety testing and brought to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a chemical test yielding a .20 BAC.
Vanalstyne was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and parking on a highway and will appear in Walworth Town Court at a later date.
