On Friday, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Walworth man following an investigation into a domestic dispute in the Town of Arcadia.
Ryan Maley, 31, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree. Authorities allege that during a verbal argument, Maley attempted to leave the scene while intoxicated. When the victim tried to stop him, Maley allegedly pushed them against a vehicle.
The victim then retreated inside the residence and locked themselves in a bedroom. Maley is accused of following the victim inside and forcing his way through the door, using enough strength to break the door frame and latch.
Maley was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was held at the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
