A Town of Walworth man was arrested following an investigation into a disturbance involving a neighbor.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 52-year-old Duane Eligon on charges of criminal mischief in the third degree and harassment in the second degree.
Investigators allege Eligon became involved in an argument with a neighbor and punched the neighbor in the face, causing the victim’s glasses to break. The victim requested an order of protection against Eligon.
Eligon was arrested and taken to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Walworth Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
