A Victor man has been arrested after authorities say he failed to appear in court following a 2023 drug charge.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Jonathan Matthews on Wednesday for first-degree bail jumping. The charge stems from a 2023 arrest for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Investigators say Matthews missed multiple court appearances after being arraigned on the original charge. He was located in Rochester by the U.S. Marshals Service and New York State Police, then turned over to Ontario County deputies.
Matthews was taken to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held pending further court appearances.
