The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a 39-year-old man has been charged following a road rage incident in Victor on Saturday afternoon.
Deputies arrested Thien Quy Phung around 1:09 p.m. on August 30 after an altercation that began near State Route 444 and County Road 41 in the town. Authorities say the incident escalated when both vehicles involved stopped at the intersection of Route 444 and Route 96 in the village.
According to investigators, Phung got out of his vehicle and punched the driver’s side window of the other car, causing it to shatter.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor, and later released on an appearance ticket. Phung is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
