A Rochester man was arrested Tuesday following a robbery at a Victor liquor store, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Deputies say 26-year-old Abdi Abdil was taken into custody after allegedly stealing liquor from Victor Wine and Spirits on Commerce Drive. A physical altercation occurred between Abdil and an employee during the incident, officials report.
Deputies located Abdil’s vehicle near Route 96 and High Street in Victor. He was charged with third-degree robbery and transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
