VA Triple Homicide Suspect Arrested in Steuben County Following Chase

A triple homicide suspect from Virginia was caught in Steuben County Thursday evening.

According to State Police, troopers stopped a vehicle just after 5:30p believed to have been involved in the Virginia murders on I-86. The suspect fled leading to a pursuit into Steuben County where the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office assisted troopers. A tire deflation device was used, causing the vehicle to crash.

The driver, Alyssa Venable, was taken to Strong for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 23-year-old Spotsylvania woman is wanted by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office for three counts of murder and use of a firearm during a felony.

Troopers are working to obtain a fugitive warrant for Venable and extradition arrangements are underway.
