Update on Charges Against Sodus Man Accused of Throwing Phone at Juvenile

SHARE NOW

An update has been provided by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on an arrest they made at the end of November.

John Peters the Fourth, of Sodus, was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child, following a domestic dispute involving a juvenile. Peters allegedly got into a verbal argument with the victim, which eventually turned physical and resulted in the suspect throwing a cell phone at the victim. The victim was taken to Newark Wayne Community Hospital for evaluation.

Peters was arraigned and released to appear in Sodus Town Court for any further proceedings.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
