An Ithaca woman who was wanted on multiple felony warrants for her alleged role in a number of burglaries in and around the area of Cornell University is now jailed in Tompkins County.
39-year-old Diamond Westfield was located inside a Chestnut Street apartment on Monday and surrendered without incident. Westfield was arrested on felony warrants from Ithaca Police for three separate counts of burglary as well as misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and criminal trespass. She was also charged by Cornell Police with two felony counts of burglary. In addition to the felony warrant charges, Westfield was arrested on a new charge of felony burglary.
Police returned to the apartment where Westfield had been residing and executed a search warrant. They report recovering some of the items stolen during the burglaries she was involved in.
