SHARE NOW

Yates County Sheriff’s deputies say two people were taken to the hospital after a crash late Thursday morning on County House Road in the Town of Jerusalem.

The crash happened around 11:11 a.m. Deputies say 19-year-old Khyair Epperson of Philadelphia was driving north when he crossed County House Road and pulled into the path of another vehicle driven by 19-year-old Joan Leid of Branchport. Leid, who had the right of way, couldn’t stop in time and struck Epperson’s vehicle.

Epperson and his passenger, 19-year-old Myleanna Griner of Rochester, were taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital with minor injuries.

Deputies charged Epperson with moving from a lane unsafely.

Penn Yan Ambulance assisted at the scene.
