Two people are facing charges in Ontario County following an early Sunday morning traffic stop in the town of Canandaigua.
As deputies were investigating the Mccann Road traffic stop, they located two controlled substances inside of the car. 39-year-old Lori McDonald of Canandaigua was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and 35-yeara-old Anthony McDonald, also of Canandaigua, was charged with a single count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Lori McDonald was also issued uniformed traffic tickets for not having operational plate lamps, failure to use a turn signal 100 feet prior to turn, no front license plate, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container inside of a car, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a court ordered interlock device.
Both will answer the charges in Canandaigua Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
