Both drivers involved in a Saturday morning crash in Ontario County were ticketed by the Sheriff’s Office following its investigation.
Mary Tandle of Geneva was driving a Subaru Crosstrek south on State Route 64S in the town of Bristol when she attempted to turn east into a driveway without signaling. Richard Williams of Farmington was hauling a ton of stone in a dump truck that was in the back of Tandle and attempted to pass her in a no-passing zone as she was slowing for her turn. The vehicles made contact in the northbound lane resulting in the dump truck coming to rest on its driver’s side.
The sheriff’s office said both drivers were issued tickets following the investigation but they did not specify what those charges were.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
