A several-month-long investigation into a stolen camper in Schuyler County has resulted in the arrest of two people.
The 2002 Holiday Rambler Presidential Camper was stolen in late August of 2023 from a location on State Route 14 in the town of Montour. In April, State Police received a tip that the camper made be at a location on Bennett Road in Dix and later found it parked in the yard. Police say 38-year-old Kyle Rogers, of Watkins Glen, and 32-year-old Shelby Narde, of Horseheads, had allegedly lived in the camper since it was stolen.
Two Superior Court warrants were issued for the arrests of Rogers and Narde, who were both charged this week with felony criminal possession of stolen property.
On July 13, 2024, Narde was processed at SP Montour Falls and taken to Schuyler County Jail for CAP arraignment.
On August 29, 2024, Rogers was processed on an order to produce signed by Honorable Judge Matthew Hayden and returned to the New York State Department of Corrections.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
