An eight-month investigation into multiple commercial burglaries that spanned Yates, Schuyler, Steuben, and Allegany counties has resulted in the arrest of two men.
The Sheriff’s Departments in all four counties, along with State Police, and the Penn Yan Police Department worked together to share information and gain evidence that linked multiple crimes to 44-year-old James Lisefski, of Prattsburgh, and 50-year-old Dale Sutton, of Campbell. The duo is accused of taking part in multiple commercial burglaries, stealing cars, tampering with evidence, taking part in larcenies, damaging property and selling drugs.
Hundreds of hours of collaborative investigation techniques and the cooperative efforts of the Steuben, Schuyler, and Yates County District Attorney Offices resulted in a Grand Jury presentation which led to the indictment of Sutton and Lisefski on 38 individual charges, including multiple counts of burglary, grand larceny, and criminal mischief.
Following their arraignments, Sutton was jailed in lieu of bail, while Lisefski is being held due to an active Parole Violation Warrant.
