Two Wayne County residents face charges following a disturbance in the town of Lyons on Monday.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Zyler Reeves allegedly got into an altercation with a juvenile, which turned physical, when he repeatedly punched the victim in the head. During the course of the investigation, it is alleged that an unrelated party to the disturbance, 44-year-old Jennilyn Reeves, arrived on the scene irate and out of control. She was given several direct orders by deputies to leave the scene but intentionally attempted to prevent authorities from conducting their investigation. When deputies attempted to arrest her, Jennilyn Reeves resisted.
Zyler Reeves was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment while Jennilyn Reeves was arrested for obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Both were released on appearance tickets for Lyons Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
