A local man who went to the Newark McDonald’s Wednesday night ended up being arrested for driving while intoxicated.
30-year-old Geovani Perez-Lopez is accused of driving a car while intoxicated to the fast food restaurant. After deputies were called to the scene, they determined an odor of alcohol coming from Perez-Lopez’s breath. Perez-Lopez was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests and reportedly failed.
Perez-Lopez was charged with DWI-Common Law, and operating a motor vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content above the legal limit.
Perez-Lopez was taken to the Wayne County Jail for processing and was released to await a future court appearance.
