A Caledonia man is facing charges of driving while intoxicated in Seneca County following a traffic stop on Sunday.
The arrest of Ethan Rider stems from the traffic stop on State Route 96A in the town of Varick. According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, the 22-year-old was stopped after it was alleged he was speeding. After an investigation and field sobriety testing, Rider was taken into custody on a DWI charge.
Rider was released on appearance tickets for Varick Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
