Traffic Stop in Auburn Leads to Meth, Loaded Weapons Charges

SHARE NOW

A traffic stop conducted by Auburn Police turned up a loaded 9mm semi-automatic Glock handgun and a quantity of methamphetamine.

Police say the driver of the car, Steven Morrow, was pulled over on State Street and Arterial East in Auburn for driving a car that was without a front license plate. A check of the Suffolk County man’s driver’s license showed a total of 30 suspensions. Morrow was subsequently arrested without incident.

Upon further investigation, the 29-year-old from Riverhead was allegedly found to be in possession of meth and a loaded Glock.

Morrow was placed in Cayuga County Jail without bail.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
