A Tompkins County man is back in police custody in Yates County after being arrested on three bench warrants out of Penn Yan Village Court.
Warrants were issued for Edward Judy’s arrest after he allegedly failed to appear in court on charges of trespass, menacing, endangering the welfare of a child, harassment and resisting arrest. Judy was also arrested on a separate arrest warrant for bail jumping.
Judy was arrested back in May of 2022 after he allegedly confronted a woman and child in Penn Yan and threatened to kill them both. Several days after that incident Judy was again arrested for allegedly going into a village store that he had been previously banned from.
The 31-year-old Enfield man is sitting in Yates County Jail in lieu of bail.
